Deshaun Watson has been labeled as one of the most prominent “NFL coach killers” of all time

Deshaun Watson has been labeled as one of the most prominent “NFL coach killers” of all time, according to Cleveland Browns fans. However, it is important to consider that these claims made by fans are often exaggerated and fail to acknowledge the challenges faced by professional NFL players. Throughout Watson’s career, he has encountered numerous issues that have plagued him for years. Notably, coaches such as Bill O’Brien, David Culley, and Alex Van Pelt have all been dismissed from their positions while working with Watson. Browns fans attribute these coaching changes to Watson, especially since he has faced allegations of inappropriate conduct from women. Many fans believe these accusations have been a major distraction, preventing Watson from performing at his best.

There are also fans who didn’t react well when the Cleveland Browns gave Watson a contract extension that they believe he didn’t deserve. Now that Van Pelt is gone these fans are all out to get Watson on social media. Thinking they somehow influence what the Browns decide based on what the fans protest. One fan tweeted this: “First Bill O’Brien, then David Culley, now Alex Van Pelt. Deshaun Watson is starting to look like one of the biggest coach killers of all time. I’m assuming if Joe Flacco didn’t save the Browns season Kevin Stefanski would have been the latest coach Watson would’ve gotten fired.”

Despite some of these fans talking trash about Deshaun Watson, there are many who also believe he is the real deal. They still believe in his abilities and consider him to be one of the best quarterbacks in the business. However, they definitely don’t agree that this new contract should’ve been that high. In hindsight, fans are not happy with Watson lacking this season after signing that contract but they are also deeply unsatisfied with the Browns’ decision-making in recent years. It’s not all Deshaun Watson’s fault.

There are also fans who reacted negatively when the Cleveland Browns awarded Watson a contract extension that they believe he did not deserve. Now that Van Pelt is no longer with the team, these fans are expressing their discontent towards Watson on social media. They believe that their protests can somehow influence the Browns’ decision-making. One fan expressed their thoughts on Twitter, stating, “First Bill O’Brien, then David Culley, now Alex Van Pelt. Deshaun Watson is starting to gain a reputation as a coach killer. If Joe Flacco had not saved the Browns’ season, Kevin Stefanski would have been the latest coach Watson would have gotten fired.”

However, there are also fans who fully support Watson. Despite the negative remarks from some fans, many still believe in his skills and consider him to be one of the top quarterbacks in the industry. However, they do not agree with the high value of his new contract. In hindsight, fans are disappointed with Watson’s performance this season after signing the contract, but they also have significant concerns about the Browns’ decision-making in recent years. It is not solely Deshaun Watson’s fault.
