FSU Football: Loses Commitment From Elite Legacy Wide Receiver

Recruiting is fluid and always changing. Sometimes the prospects who once felt like a lock end up doing the unexpected. That’s what happened on Monday evening as Florida State lost a commitment from legacy four-star wide receiver and rising junior, Devin Carter. The 2026 blue-chip recruit is re-opening his recruitment following a season where he established himself as one of the top players in his class. Carter caught 51 passes for 923 yards and 13 touchdowns for Cedar Grove High School to lead the program to a victory in the state championship. That followed up a freshman campaign.
