ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit still discussing the Noles’ exclusion from the CFP

FSU football fans have showcased their displeasure after the College Football Playoff committee elected to include the one-loss SEC champion Alabama Crimson Tide over the undefeated ACC champion Florida State Seminoles in December.

The committee pointed to the injury of Jordan Travis as the reason the Seminoles were not included in the “invitational”. However, even with the quarterbacks Tate Rodemaker and Brock Glenn, Florida State beat the arch-rival Florida Gators and Louisville Cardinals by two possessions.

With that being said, the results were deemed not good enough. This frustrated many of the Seminoles’ players on the roster because it seemed like the 2023 season was worthless. Florida State looked completely different in terms of the roster in their blowout Orange Bowl loss versus Georgia.

However, the wise individuals understood what the Seminoles had lost that were departing to the NFL Draft and transfer portal.

Nonetheless, there were analysts such as Kirk Herbstreit who were clamoring for Florida State to not be included in the College Football Playoff even when Jordan Travis was not injured. Seminole fans do not have a soft spot in their heart for Herbstreit as they consistently let him have it on social media.

Know matter how hard this lunatic fringe portion of the FSU fan base tries I refuse to hold this against the Noles and their real fans. Been a fan of the

Noles teams since the early days of Bobby Bowden in early 80’s and will continue to respect that brand and its tradition for…

It has been two months since the Seminoles were excluded from the College Football Playoff, and the former Ohio State quarterback and current ESPN analyst is still trying to defend himself.

It could have been easy as a professional to just let the topic go, but Herbstreit insists on poking the bear with how he utilizes the “lunatic fringe portion of the FSU fan base” comment. ESPN will now be hosting College GameDay when Florida State takes on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on August 24, 2024.

Seminole fans are beginning to get fed up with ESPN’s narratives to defend the SEC and Big Ten. Florida State supporters will be giving Herbstreit and the crew (minus Lee Corso and Booger McFarland) a “warm”welcome in Ireland.
