Defender Bryce Hosannah left Wrexham by mutual consent

BRYCE HOSANNAH has joined AFC Fylde on a short-term contract until the end of the season.

The defender was a free agent after leaving Wrexham by mutual consent last week and has been snapped up by the Coasters who are 21st in the National League.

The 24-year-old joined Wrexham from Leeds United in August 2021 but injuries hampered his spell at The Racecourse.

During his time with the Reds, Hosannah played 46 times and scored two goals.

He made eight National League appearances during Wrexham’s 2022/23 title-winning campaign and, having been left out of Phil Parkinson’s squad submitted to the EFL for the first half of the current season, has only played three times.

On signing for Fylde, Hosannah told the official club website:  “I’m delighted to join the club.

“(Head coach) Chris Beech has been a big pull in my decision to join the club, as has the team’s spirit and attitude.

“I’m excited to get going and do everything I can to keep the team in the National League.”
