Christian Horner’s net worth means Red Bull chief can buy 13 of Lewis Hamilton’s yachts

Christian Horner has led Red Bull Racing to glory 13 times over his 19-year spell as team principal of the Formula One outfit, and he now boasts extraordinary wealth as a result

Horner was appointed chief of Red Bull racing in 2005 after the Austrian energy drink company purchased Jaguar F1. In that time, he has become one of motorsport’s most familiar faces thanks to his team’s success in winning six Constructors’ Championships and seven World Drivers’ Championships.

Alongside his famed role in hit Netflix series ‘Drive To Survive’, Horner earns huge money from being the highest-paid team principal on the F1 grid on £8million-per-year. And that has earned the Warwickshire-born team boss stunning riches over the years.

According to PlanetF1, Horner’s net worth stood at a staggering £40m in 2023. And while that pales in comparison to Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff’s rumoured £1.3billion, Horner is still one of the richest people on the grid.

He is so rich, in fact, that he can purchase 13 of Lewis Hamilton’s luxury Sunseeker 90 yachts, worth £3.1m each. The newly-announced Ferrari driver, who is worth over £200m himself, bought his yacht way back in 2009.
