Take a look at the TaylorMade equipment inside Charlie Woods’ bag

Charlie and Tiger Woods are teeing it up this week at the PNC Championship.

When it comes to Charlie Woods’ TaylorMade equipment setup, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. As the 11-year-old prepares to tee it up alongside his dad at the PNC Championship, it shouldn’t come as a shock to see the duo sporting all-TaylorMade club setups, including identical SIM drivers and MG2 wedges.

The younger Woods is even carrying on the tradition of using a Ping PP58 grip on his Spider X mallet putter and protecting his driver with a “Frank” headcover.

If there’s one club that stands out in his setup, it would be a set of P7MC irons. Charlie looks to have an incredibly sound swing for a junior golfer, but it’s still difficult to comprehend that he’s already using a set of better-player irons currently employed by major champion Collin Morikawa and Tour winner Matthew Wolff.

We don’t have a complete list of clubs and specs for Charlie’s setup — check back often as this story is updated — but here’s what we know he’s carrying at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes.

Lock in top-level speed when you play the TaylorMade SIM Driver. The Speed Injection process is designed to maximize ball speed and distance to performance at or near the legal limit. Revolutionary Twist Face technology utilizes face curvature with corrective face angle on off-center hits for side spin reduction and straighter shots. Sliding weights and the loft sleeve enable optimized face angle, loft and lie customization for ideal spin and trajectory.

Unlock a combination of explosive distance and forgiveness with the TaylorMade SIM Max Fairway. The reinvented V Steel™ sole design delivers precise and consistent turf interaction, while adding enhanced versatility from any lie. Revolutionary Twist Face technology utilizes face curvature with corrective face angle on off-center hits for side spin reduction and straighter shots. A Speed Pocket flexes at impact to generate incredible ball speed off the face for increased player performance.

Fitting by sole grind, the TaylorMade Milled Grind 2 Wedges ensure precision where it matters most. Advanced milling techniques create exacting sole and leading edge geometries for unparalleled performance and consistency. ZTP groove technology contains steeper side walls and sharper edge radii to maximize spin and control on the course. Two sole grind options afford golfers the ability to select ideal specifications for their swing and course conditions.
