Onlookers were left stunned after a darts match ended in shocking scenes when professional player Adam Smith-Neale lost on Saturday.

The PDC darts player faced Sam Whittaker in the Nuneaton Darts Open on Saturday but crashed out in astonishing circumstances in a major shock.



But Smith-Neale reacted furiously when he appeared to throw a punch at his opponent after the match-winning darts were thrown.


Whittaker looked stunned and was whisked away as spectators watched on in disbelief at The Lucky Break pub in Nuneaton.


The PDC world no. 82, who was dressed in a green top and jeans, looked furious after throwing what turned out to be his final three darts.


Whittaker then threw his first dart before winning the contest with his second, knocking out Smith-Neale in shock circumstances.
