Larry Bird brings the mayhem in hilarious Allstate spot

Legendary NBA player, Larry Bird, has once again showcased his acting skills in a new Allstate commercial that aired during this year’s Oscars broadcast. While the 67-year-old may not be winning any gold statues for his performance, his appearance is sure to bring a smile to the faces of Celtics fans and basketball enthusiasts alike.

In the commercial, created by Allstate’s in-house agency, Bird finds himself facing off against an unseen bird causing chaos in his attic. Portrayed by Dean Winters, known for his role as “Mr. Mayhem,” the troublesome bird prompts Bird to take action. Armed with a lacrosse stick (not the conventional tool for bird control), Bird bravely ventures into the attic to confront the avian intruder.

However, the battle doesn’t go as planned for Bird, as he ends up bumping his head and falling through the floorboards. Despite his athletic prowess, Bird proves to be no match for the mayhem-causing bird. Watch below:

While Bird is renowned for his achievements on the basketball court, he’s also no stranger to the small screen, having appeared in numerous commercials throughout his career. Although nothing may ever top the iconic “The Showdown” commercial featuring Bird and Michael Jordan in an epic shooting contest for a Big Mac, his latest Allstate “Mayhem” commercial adds another entertaining entry to his commercial catalog.

As fans eagerly await more antics from Bird, his recent appearance in the Allstate commercial serves as a reminder of his enduring charm and versatility both on and off the basketball court.
