Masters LIVE recap: Tiger Woods ‘delaying’ retirement Scottie Scheffler wins second green jacket

The Masters belonged to one man on Sunday, as world No. 1 and soon-to-be-dad Scottie Scheffler won his second green jacket with a four-shot victory at Augusta National.



Scottie Scheffler won his second green jacket at Augusta National on Sunday, after the world No. 1 fended off debutant Ludvig Aberg to clinch the Masters crown by four shots.



Scheffler continued his dominance at the top of professional golf, carding a superb four-under-par 68 in the final round to get his hands on the prize. It was an emotional finish for the American, who with his wife Meredith is expecting the imminent birth of their first child.



Elsewhere it proved to be a tough weekend for Tiger Woods, who after making a record-breaking 24th consecutive cut went on to finish the tournament at 16-over-par. In the aftermath though, an upbeat Woods confirmed plans to play in the remaining three majors this year.

He makes the green in two at the par-five 13th before a comfortable two-putt sees him add another birdie to the card to move three ahead at nine-under.

Rory McIlroy brings the curtain down on his week at Augusta.


It is a final round one-over-par 73 for the Northern Irishman, to finish at four-over for the week. He will have to wait 12 more months to get his hands on a first green jacket, and complete the career Grand Slam.

He plays a remarkable shot from the fairway at the ninth which finishes on the edge of the cup, before making his way onto the green to tap in for birdie. He moves into the outright lead at eight-under.

Ludvig Aberg take a bow. He finds himself on a tricky spot with a lengthy birdie putt down the ninth green, but this proved a simple test for the Swede who makes the effort to move to seven-under-par.

It has been a difficult week for Tiger Woods, but he unsurprisingly he hears the roar of the patrons as he finishes up on 18. He pars his three final holes of the tournament to sign for a five-over-par 77, to see him finish at 16-over-par for the week.
