Noa-Lynn van Leuven won her second women’s title over the weekend, coming from behind to beat Beau Greaves in a deciding leg. The transgender woman has enjoyed an impressive run of form in recent weeks, though her successes have been criticised by some darts fans.

Van Leuven has been in tremendous form over the month, landing the mixed-gender Challenge Tour just a week before cruising to victory in the PDC Women’s Series.

The 27-year-old won her second title over the weekend, fighting back from 4-0 down against Greaves to land the Event Five title. Van Leuven struggled to find her rhythm in the opening stages of the contest, with Greaves offering no mercy with a relentless – and almost record-breaking – average to cruise into a healthy lead.

However, Van Leuven managed to fight back and turn the tide. After pulling the game back to 4-4, the Dutch star showed great composure to check out from 89 with a T19 and D16 to land the spoils, much to the frustration of Greaves.

Van Leuven will be hoping to build on her momentum over the coming weeks, though her victories will only amplify the voices of those who have spoken out against her over the past month.

Her victory over Katie Sheldon in the final of the PSG Women’s Series event last month prompted two national female team-mates to quit the team in protest against Van Leuven’s appearances. Anca Zijlstra revealed she was stepping away after being left ‘embarrassed’.
