Cross, 33, won five legs in a row after Humphries had hit a nine-darter in an epic final.

However, ‘Voltage’ revealed afterwards that time could be running out on the top stars to stop teen sensation Littler winning every title.

He said: “I’m just happy to win again. I know when my A-game is there I can beat anyone in the world. I can even grind out titles with my B-game.

“But we’ve all just got to take a title when we can. It’s only a matter of time before the boy Littler wins everything in sight!

“He was obviously knackered when he arrived on Friday after only having four hours sleep, that’s why he lost out.

“You just have to take your opportunities when Luke is off his game!

“Seriously though, it’s likely that Luke will take some stopping when he really goes on a winning streak. The other boys will be left to pick up the scraps.”

Cross also had special praise for world champ Humphries who hit 180, 180 and 140 for the perfect leg in the final.
