Laurie Canter, a former star of LIV Golf, has described the possibility of the PGA Tour issuing him a ban as ‘absurd’, given that he has never been a member of the American-based circuit.
Canter may become the inaugural LIV golfer to compete on the PGA Tour since the Saudi league was established two years ago, thanks to his outstanding performance on the DP World Tour this year. Despite not having been a member of the premier golf circuit previously, the ex-LIV participant has been notified that he must undergo a suspension before being eligible to compete, a consequence of his past affiliations.
As a result, Canter would have to sit out the initial PGA Tour events in 2025, with his suspension concluding a year after his last LIV outing in February. Canter’s dissatisfaction with the situation is evident. ‘I received a letter mid-year,’ he shared with Bunkered
