Nelly Korda is the world’s best female golfer and is the top-ranked golfer in the Official Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. The 26-year-old golfer has one of the smoothest and most flawless swings in the world. However, this has not come easy, as she has had to put in hours together practicing on the range and working on her swing.
During the 2023 Chevron Championship, Korda said her dad would boycott her practice session if she had asked her dad to video the number of swing videos she has on her phone.
“If people knew how many swing videos I had on my phone, and if I had to ask my dad to video that many swings, he would say he would boycott every one of my practices, Korda said.
When asked how many swing videos she has on her phone, the two-time Major championship winner said:
“Probably 6000 swing videos. Maybe more. I have been told that I need to stop, or I just need to delete them all and keep the one I want.”
She also revealed that she has an iCloud subscription, but she has to keep upgrading it.
“Oh, yeah. Like, I keep upgrading. Like I gotta upgrade.”
Nelly Korda’s performance on the LPGA Tour in 2024
Nelly Korda has had the best season of her career on the LPGA Tour so far. She has registered six wins in the first eight starts of the season. However, she lost a bit of momentum after her sixth victory and missed three cuts in a row.
Despite that, Korda was optimistic about her game and said she loves both the good and the bad.
“You know, I love this game. I love the bad. I love the good. The bad makes you appreciate the good, and that’s just how it is. It’s sports. If you care so deeply about it, you’re just going to go through the wave of the roller coaster,” Korda said.
But she has got her game back on track as she made two top-5 finishes in the last two starts. Korda finished T2 at the AIG Women’s Open and T5 at the Kroger Queen City Championship and is looking all set to win the season-ending CME Globe Tour Championship.
