Steelers legend Bill Cowher jumps through table, sends Bills Mafia into a frenzy

The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to play the biggest game of their season on Sunday, as the team will square off against the Baltimore Ravens at Acrisure Stadium in Week 11. The winner of this divisional contest will have sole possession of first place in the AFC North.

Though many players and assistant coaches deserve a ton of credit for the Steelers’ success in 2024, head coach Mike Tomlin continues to show why he is one of the greatest coaches in NFL history. Despite being handed mediocre rosters and poor quarterback situations over the last few seasons, Pittsburgh has always been competitive under Tomlin.

Tomlin has been a fantastic head coach for the Steelers, but Bill Cowher’s legacy in the Steel City is timeless. Cowher coached the team for 15 years, notching two Super Bowl appearances and winning Super Bowl XL. The Hall of Famer also won the AP Coach of the Year award in 1992.

Cowher has worked with CBS Sports as an NFL analyst since 2007 and may have just had the funniest moment of his television career on Sunday. The NFL on CBS crew is in Buffalo for the Bills vs. Jets game in Week 11, and Cowher decided to jump through a table, which ignited Bills Mafia into a frenzy. Jumping through tables during pregame tailgates has become a tradition at Bills games.

After a decorated coaching career, seeing Cowher have some fun in his post-coaching life is awesome. The 67-year-old confirmed that he will return to the NFL on CBS crew for the 2025 season during an appearance on the Sports Media with Richard Deitsch podcast on Friday.
