Florida State football junior running back Jaylin Lucas is out for the season.
Seminoles head coach Mike Norvell announced the news on Monday morning that Lucas sustained the season-ending injury in FSU’s 28-13 loss to Boston College and will not return to action this year.
Lucas has the eligibility to return next year.

Lucas transferred from Indiana and has been a threat on special teams while taking limited, yet productive reps offensively. He had 52 yards combined in receiving and rushing and was a return specialist for the Seminoles.
Norvell said that freshman Micahi Danzy has been moved up in the depth chart off of the scout team and he feels he is one of the many young running backs that could help the Seminoles following the loss of Lucas. Norvell mentioned Samuel Singelton and Kam Davis as the other players who could contribute more without Lucas.
