Brandon Beane has been the General Manager (GM) of the Buffalo Bills since May 9, 2017, playing a pivotal role in transforming the team into a consistent playoff contender. Under his leadership, the Bills have secured seven playoff appearances and clinched five consecutive AFC East division titles from 2020 through 2024.  

Beane began his NFL career with the Carolina Panthers in 1998, ascending through various roles over 19 years, including Director of Football Operations and Assistant GM. His extensive experience in scouting, player evaluation, and contract negotiations laid a strong foundation for his executive capabilities.   

One of Beane’s most notable achievements was orchestrating the 2018 NFL Draft trade that enabled the Bills to select quarterback Josh Allen, a move that has been instrumental in the team’s resurgence. He has also been recognized for his adeptness in managing the salary cap and making strategic trades, such as acquiring wide receiver Stefon Diggs.   

In recognition of his transparency and professionalism, Beane received the Pro Football Writers of America’s Jack Horrigan Award, highlighting his commitment to fostering positive relationships with the media.  

Beane’s collaborative partnership with head coach Sean McDermott, with whom he previously worked in Carolina, has been a cornerstone of the Bills’ organizational success.
