Veteran wide receiver Tyler Lockett has officially signed with Buffalo Bills , marking a significant addition to their receiving corps ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. Lockett, who spent a decade with the Seattle Seahawks, announced the move on social media, expressing his excitement and gratitude.
The 32-year-old has agreed to a one-year contract valued at $4 million, with potential incentives pushing the total to $6 million. This signing comes after his release from the Seahawks in early March, a decision that saved Seattle $17 million in cap space but resulted in nearly $14 million in dead money. Â
During his tenure with Seattle, Lockett became the franchise’s second-leading receiver, trailing only Hall of Famer Steve Largent. He achieved over 1,000 receiving yards in four consecutive seasons from 2019 to 2022 and earned All-Pro honors in 2015. In his final season with the Seahawks, Lockett recorded 600 yards and two touchdowns on 49 receptions.Â
Joining the Titans, Lockett will add veteran experience to a receiving unit that includes Calvin Ridley, Treylon Burks, and Van Jefferson. His presence is expected to provide a reliable target for the team’s anticipated new quarterback, with Miami’s Cam Ward being a strong candidate for the top pick in the upcoming draft. Â
Lockett’s move to Buffalo Bills signifies a fresh start and an opportunity to contribute to a developing offense under head coach Brian Callahan. As the Titans look to rebuild and strengthen their roster, Lockett’s experience and leadership could prove invaluable in guiding younger players and enhancing the team’s passing game.Â
