It is the second time the former Texas Longhorn went this low at Memorial Park. He carded a 62 during the second round back in 2022.
Scheffler has not won in 2025 yet but has not played poorly. His worst finish was a T25 at the WM Phoenix Open, and his best was a T3 at the Genesis Invitational.
What he put together Friday at Memorial Park, though, is four shots better than any score he posted this season. After returning from hand surgery during the holiday season, the reigning Masters winner has had a slower start.
But, Scheffler appears to be coming into form at the right time, and this should terrify his fellow PGA Tour players.
The 2-time major winner is putting exceptionally well. When his flat stick is hot, Scheffler is nearly impossible to beat.
